420-bed regional referral and Level II trauma center in Dothan, Alabama, seeks board-certified/ board-eligible Neurosurgeon to join their well-established Neurospine Center treating adult patients.
Job Description
- Join busy neurosurgery practice
- Hospital-employed position in south Alabama
- Need is due to a General Neurosurgeon moving closer to family
- Looking for a General Neurosurgeon to join their well-established Neurospine Center
- The clinic is located on the hospital?s campus with easy access to OR, ED, etc.
- No travel required - practice at only one hospital
- Staffing currently consists of 2 Neurosurgeons (1 General, 1 Cerebrovascular/Endovascular), an interventional/Vascular Neurologist, NeuroHospitalists, and Neuroradiologists
- Looking to fill this by end of 2022 - will consider new grads, but the experience is preferred
- The schedule is roughly 40% clinic, 60% procedural
- Will have dedicated OR time, so doesn?t have to fight with Ortho, General Surgery, etc. for OR time
- The call is roughly 10 days/month at a 1:3 ratio
- The call is not rigid, as it could be spread out or over a run of 4-5 days straight
- This includes trauma and ED calls
- The current Neurosurgeon?s case mix is roughly 70% spine and 30% general

- $800K base salary
